Pro theme · Ambient New Tab for Chrome & Edge
A real GPU fluid simulation carrying dense ultramarine smoke and pale silk highlights through a slowly breathing wind. Drag it with your mouse and watch the folds relax.
Free to install. Phthalo Smoke unlocks with Pro, $19 once, no subscription.
Phthalo Smoke fills the New Tab page with smoke in one colour: Phthalo Blue, the deep painter's blue. It is a live fluid simulation, so the smoke folds and curls the way real smoke does rather than looping.
Nothing is a video. The scene is generated live on your graphics card with WebGL, so it never loops and never looks the same twice.
Ambient New Tab is free to install, with three free themes. Phthalo Smoke is a Pro theme. Pro is a one-time $19 purchase, no subscription, and it unlocks every Pro theme, music sync, and every theme we release in the future. You can preview Phthalo Smoke full screen before you buy: open the Themes panel and rest your mouse on it. Changed your mind? 14-day refund, no questions.
WebGL2 with floating-point textures, which every recent Chrome on a desktop or laptop has. Without it a slowly drifting procedural version of the same look stands in.
It is a Pro theme. Pro is a one-time $19 purchase, no subscription, that unlocks every Pro theme, music sync, and every future theme.
