Honeysuckle Wall New Tab theme: rust-red vines with chartreuse leaves and white honeysuckle flowers growing across a deep cobalt blue wall

Honeysuckle Wall
an Arts-and-Crafts wallpaper that keeps growing

Rust-red vines snake across deep cobalt, sprouting flat chartreuse leaves and honeysuckle buds. A bud only opens once a bee has landed on it. The wall never finishes.

Add to Chrome, free How it works

Free to install. Honeysuckle Wall unlocks with Pro, $19 once, no subscription.

What you see on every new tab

Honeysuckle Wall turns the New Tab page into a living Morris-style wallpaper. Every tab opens already half-grown, then the vines keep pushing into open space while the oldest ones yellow and fade to make room.

Nothing is a video. The scene is generated live on your graphics card with WebGL, so it never loops and never looks the same twice.

Questions

Does it ever fill up and stop?

No. When the wall reaches its target density the oldest vine withers and new tendrils grow into the space it leaves, forever.

Is Honeysuckle Wall free?

It is a Pro theme. Pro is a one-time $19 purchase, no subscription, that unlocks every Pro theme, music sync, and every future theme.

Is it flat or 3-D?

Flat on purpose: it is a wallpaper in the Arts-and-Crafts sense, drawn on a 2-D canvas with cached leaf and flower sprites.

Does it work on my phone?

No. It's a desktop browser extension for Chrome and Edge on Windows, macOS, Linux and ChromeOS. If you're reading this on a phone, send yourself the link.
