Pro theme · Ambient New Tab for Chrome & Edge
Fronds fan out from the bottom-left corner, grow to fill the screen, then breathe: slow drift, flickering tips, and palettes that cross-fade from ember to violet. One shader, no images.
Free to install. Ember Fern unlocks with Pro, $19 once, no subscription.
Ember Fern grows a feathered dendritic fractal across the New Tab page from the bottom-left corner. It opens with the fronds growing outward, then settles into a slow, breathing glow that leaves most of the screen dark for your clock and search.
Nothing is a video. The scene is generated live on your graphics card with WebGL, so it never loops and never looks the same twice.
Ambient New Tab is free to install, with three free themes. Ember Fern is a Pro theme.
