Pro theme · Ambient New Tab for Chrome & Edge
Every ray is bent through the Schwarzschild field, so the far side of the disc wraps over and under the shadow and the stars smear into an Einstein ring. The Interstellar look, computed live.
Free to install. Event Horizon unlocks with Pro, $19 once, no subscription.
Event Horizon is the physically accurate black hole. Where Black Hole matches a painting, this one traces each pixel's ray through curved spacetime, which is what produces the famous wrapped-disc look: the back of the accretion disc appears above and below the shadow because its light is bent around the hole.
Nothing is a video. The scene is generated live on your graphics card with WebGL, so it never loops and never looks the same twice.
Ambient New Tab is free to install, with three free themes. Event Horizon is a Pro theme. Pro is a one-time $19 purchase, no subscription, and it unlocks every Pro theme, music sync, and every theme we release in the future. You can preview Event Horizon full screen before you buy: open the Themes panel and rest your mouse on it. Changed your mind? 14-day refund, no questions.
Rays are marched through the Schwarzschild metric with adaptive steps, photon-sphere accurate. It is the same effect seen in the film Interstellar, at New Tab budget.
It is a Pro theme. Pro is a one-time $19 purchase, no subscription, that unlocks every Pro theme, music sync, and every future theme.
